BarangayCare: Community Health Record System
Capstone project — a web-based health record system for Barangay San Isidro's health center, replacing paper index cards for 2,300+ residents. Built with PHP/Laravel and MySQL, deployed on the barangay's donated PC. Features patient records, vaccination tracking, and monthly DOH report generation that used to take the midwife three days — now one click.
💭 Reflection
This taught me that the hardest part of software isn't code — it's earning the trust of the people who'll use it. Nanay Remy, the health worker, couldn't use a mouse at first. We redesigned everything around keyboard navigation and big buttons. Real users beat beautiful architecture.
